Frequently asked questions
View QuestionsWhat are the requirements to start the online 300-hour course?
The 300hrs YTT is an advanced course that is recommended for those who have completed the 200hrs YTT. 300hrs YTT is not just an extension of the 200hrs YTT – they are two separate courses, and you cannot substitute one for the other.
Additionally, if you wish to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT500, you will need to have a 200YTT certificate from a Registered Yoga School (RYS), as there is no standalone RYT300.
How is the 200-hour YTT different from the 300-hour YTT?
The 200hrs YTT is considered the level 1 yoga teacher training, while the 300hrs YTT is a level 2.
The 300hrs YTT takes you deeper into the knowledge of yoga and allows you to explore the anatomy, philosophy, Shatkriyas, Asanas, Pranayama, Mudras, and Meditation in more detail. It is designed for those who have already completed the 200hrs YTT.
Can I still join the online course if I have an injury?
We care about your safety and well-being during our courses, which is why we kindly ask that you let us know about any injuries you may have before purchasing the course. If you have a muscle strain, it should not be a problem. However, if it is a more serious injury, it may affect your practice and limit your movement. We recommend that you consult with your doctor and inform us beforehand, so we can advise you accordingly.
Is the course all in English? Do you have a course in my language?
Our courses are currently only available in English. Having at least an intermediate understanding of both spoken and written English is important for keeping up with the lessons and passing the final certification exam. Please reach out to us if you feel unsure about your English level.
When does the course start and how many live classes will there be?
We understand that life can get busy, and we want to make sure that our program works for you. That’s why we offer flexibility when it comes to starting your modules and joining a study group. You can start your modules whenever you’re ready and choose to join a study group later. If you’re not sure about your schedule, simply select “do not want to start yet” when completing your profile.
When you’re ready to commit and join a study group, just let us know by notifying our student support team or updating your availability on your profile. Our lead teacher and student support team will be there to help you every step of the way. They will schedule an orientation and assign you to a study group.
Please keep in mind that our materials and videos are pre-recorded and available for 240+ non-contact hours. Each week, you will have a Zoom call with your lead teacher and a study group of 5 people for teaching practice, totaling 4 hours, or 60 contact hours throughout your study. We’re excited to help you on your yoga journey!
What is the practicum (teaching practice)?
During the suggested days, you’ll have a group call with your fellow students and a teacher. In these classes, you’ll teach other students the sequences you’ve designed, evaluate the teaching of other students, and practice the live teachings given.
When are the final exams? How are they carried out?
The exams are incorporated into your curriculum and take place during the last two weeks of study. The final exams are several parts designed to test your expertise as a professional yoga teacher, including oral presentation skills, creativity, and teaching capability. You’ll take the exams during week 8 and 9, with assignments such as oral presentation on anatomy and history/philosophy (10 minutes each), writing an essay and teaching Vinyasa Flow and Hatha Yoga.
Who can I contact in case I have challenges during the course?
If you have anything you’d like to discuss with us, feel free to contact our student support team through a private message or mention @Support, or send us an email at online@houseofom.com. We’re here to help!

If I join the online course, is it possible to finish it offline in Bali? Is there any special price for this case?
Yes, if you join the online course but later decide to switch to the offline course in Bali, you can do so by paying the remaining amount for the offline course.
Can I pay in installments?
Absolutely! We understand that everyone has different financial situations, so we offer the option to pay in up to three installments to make it more affordable. However, please keep in mind that if you pay for the course in full, you can take advantage of a discounted price. For the 300hr YTT course, you can choose to pay in full of $555 or three installments of $300.
Why is the price I have paid different from the advertisement?
The reason for the difference in price is that the advertised price is in USD, but since the course is based in Bali, we convert the USD price to IDR, which is subject to daily fluctuations in the exchange rate. Furthermore, the payment portals charge a fee that may be included in the amount.
