House of Om in Collaboration with Rishikesh Yogpeeth
Terms & Conditions
Course Progression and Requirements
- 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is suitable for all levels of yogi, from the absolute beginners to the more advanced. However, it is advisable to learn some basic foundation and have a few months of consistent yoga practice prior to the course.
- 300 hours Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is an advanced course for those that have already completed the 200hrs or have already been teaching for 3+ years with extensive experience. According to Yoga Alliance’s standard, it requires a 200YTT certification before the course.
- To register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT500, you will need a 200YTT certificate from a Registered Yoga School (RYS), as there is no standalone RYT300 certification.
- The 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is a comprehensive program that combines both the 200-hour and 300-hour trainings. It is designed for individuals who are deeply committed to pursuing a career in yoga and who already have a well-developed personal practice. It is possible to undertake a 200-hour and 300-hour training back-to-back, provided the student feels ready for the intensity of the journey. If you are considering this pathway, we kindly ask that you connect with our team prior to booking, so we can ensure it’s the right fit for you.
- All participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of enrollment. This is a requirement for Yoga Alliance certification. By completing your booking, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. House of Om is not liable for certificates that cannot be issued due to non-compliance with this condition.
- It is the student’s responsibility to ensure their eligibility to travel to and enter India. Cancellations due to non-compliance or ineligibility to travel or enter the country do not qualify as force majeure.
Accommodation
The ashram operates as a community rather than a commercial hotel. Students are expected to participate respectfully and understand that services and facilities may differ from those of standard accommodation.
Room allocation is based on availability.
By registering, students acknowledge and accept that:
- accommodation follows the traditional ashram lifestyle;
- housekeeping is provided once per week;
- towels and bed linens are changed weekly; and
- students are expected to maintain reasonable cleanliness within their own rooms between scheduled housekeeping.
The ashram is situated approximately 1 km uphill from the vehicle drop-off point and requires a walk to reach the premises. Any medical conditions, physical limitations, or accessibility requirements that may affect a student’s ability to access or participate in the training must be disclosed and confirmed by House of Om prior to booking.
If you wish to arrive earlier before the training, please let us know in advance so we can check availability. Additional nights are charged at the daily retreat rate and must be paid on-site upon arrival.
Meals
Meals provided during the training are vegetarian.
Most meals contain dairy, onion, and garlic.
Students must notify House of Om of any food allergies or dietary restrictions before booking.
While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate vegan diets and certain allergies (such as gluten), House of Om and Rishikesh Yogpeeth cannot guarantee that all dietary requests can be accommodated. Confirmation of dietary accommodation will be made before the students proceed with the booking.
