Terms & Conditions
The ashram operates as a community rather than a commercial hotel. Students are expected to participate respectfully and understand that services and facilities may differ from those of standard accommodation.
Room allocation is based on availability.
By registering, students acknowledge and accept that:
The ashram is situated approximately 1 km uphill from the vehicle drop-off point and requires a walk to reach the premises. Any medical conditions, physical limitations, or accessibility requirements that may affect a student’s ability to access or participate in the training must be disclosed and confirmed by House of Om prior to booking.
If you wish to arrive earlier before the training, please let us know in advance so we can check availability. Additional nights are charged at the daily retreat rate and must be paid on-site upon arrival.
Meals provided during the training are vegetarian.
Most meals contain dairy, onion, and garlic.
Students must notify House of Om of any food allergies or dietary restrictions before booking.
While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate vegan diets and certain allergies (such as gluten), House of Om and Rishikesh Yogpeeth cannot guarantee that all dietary requests can be accommodated. Confirmation of dietary accommodation will be made before the students proceed with the booking.
Students acknowledge that the India training is conducted within a traditional yoga ashram and agree to respect the customs, daily routines, staff, fellow students, and local culture.
To maintain a focused and respectful learning environment, photography, video recording, and the use of cameras or other recording devices are strictly prohibited during classes.
Students understand that any disruptive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate behavior that negatively affects the safety, wellbeing, or learning environment of staff, teachers, or fellow participants may result in disciplinary actions, including the withholding of certification or removal from the training without refund.
Students agree to follow the dress code throughout the training.
Appropriate attire includes modest clothing suitable for yoga practice that provides adequate body coverage.
The following are not permitted:
Students may consult House of Om team at care@houseofom.com before their trip for any doubts about clothing.
Attendance at all scheduled classes, workshops, ceremonies, practicums, and assessments is mandatory.
Students are expected to maintain 100% attendance throughout the training. Absences will affect eligibility for certification.
Emergency absences must be communicated in advance whenever possible.
The management of House of Om and Rishikesh Yogpeeth have the right to decide the outcome and the certification if attendance requirements or graduation requirements are not satisfactorily fulfilled.
For India trainings conducted at the ashram, students may only leave the premises during scheduled free time or designated days off unless prior decision or approval has been discussed with school management.
Option A: Full Payment
Option B: Deposit Payment
Students may choose to pay a deposit only ($500 for 200HR courses or $555 for 300HR courses) to temporarily reserve their place.
Important: A deposit payment does not fully confirm a student’s place. The student’s spot is temporarily reserved until full payment is received. Final confirmation is granted only upon full payment.
Option C: Installment Payment Plan
Students who choose to pay a deposit may divide the remaining balance into up to three payments.
All balances must be fully paid at least 30 days before the training start date. This allows us to finalize logistics, accommodation, venue arrangements, and student confirmations.

At House of Om, we are committed to providing high-quality yoga education while maintaining compliance with Yoga Alliance standards. As Yoga Alliance requirements may change over time, the following policies apply to all online courses.
For the purpose of this policy, the following terms are used:
Online Course
Refers to the online training program delivered through the online learning platform, including online course materials, recorded lessons, live Zoom sessions, online workshops, assignments, and teacher guidance provided through the platform.
Offline Course
Refers to any Yoga Teacher Training program conducted in person at a physical location, including training held in Bali, India, Thailand, or any other future offline training locations.
Study Group
Refers to a guided learning group within the Online Course where students are assigned to a teacher and fellow students.
Students are responsible for reviewing all course information, graduation requirements, schedules, and policies before enrolling.
Refund requests submitted after the 7-day money-back guarantee period due to misunderstandings regarding the course content, schedule, certification requirements, or any published course information will not be approved.
By enrolling, students acknowledge that they have read, understood, and accepted all House of Om policies.
Questions may be directed to the Student Support Team at online@houseofom.com or via Direct Message through the online learning platform.
Students must begin their online course within 12 months of the date of purchase.
Students who do not begin the course within this period will be required to pay a $90 Study Group Allocation Fee before joining a study group.
Delaying the start of the course may affect eligibility for Yoga Alliance certification, as certification requirements are determined by Yoga Alliance and may change over time.
Study Group Allocation
Students who select “Start as soon as possible” during enrollment will be assigned to the next available study group based on their preferred time zone and availability.
House of Om offers multiple study groups across different time zones to accommodate students worldwide.
Students who are not ready to begin should select “Do not want to start yet” during enrollment or notify Student Support before study group allocation.
Study groups are generally allocated within 2–4 weeks, although this may vary depending on teacher availability and the formation of suitable groups.
Guided Study Group
The 200-Hour Online Yoga Teacher Training is delivered through guided study groups led by an assigned teacher. Each study group is designed to be completed over approximately 4 months, consisting of:
Students are expected to complete all mandatory homework assignments, attend the required live Zoom sessions, and submit their final assessments during the study group period.
Students who do not complete these requirements within their assigned study group and wish to continue receiving teacher guidance must join a new study group.
A $90 Study Group Reassignment Fee applies when a student:
Requests made before the first live Zoom session will be accommodated free of charge, subject to availability.
Students who need to pause their studies due to medical reasons may rejoin a future study group without paying the reassignment fee. A valid medical certificate is required.
The 300-Hour Online Yoga Teacher Training operates with an ongoing live study group rather than fixed cohorts.
Unlike the 200-Hour Online Yoga Teacher Training, students are not assigned to a fixed study group or teacher, and the Study Group Reassignment Policy does not apply.
Students may attend live Zoom sessions according to their availability. To be eligible for graduation, students must complete a minimum of 45 hours of live Zoom training, including the required teaching practice hours outlined in the course curriculum.
Once a student confirms they are ready to begin and is activated in the live study group, they have 12 months to complete all graduation requirements and qualify for certification.
Students who are unable to complete all graduation requirements within this period may purchase a 6-month Course Completion Extension for an additional $90.
Students are responsible for attending the required live training hours and successfully completing all graduation requirements within the applicable course completion deadline.
To successfully complete the course and receive a Yoga Alliance-accredited 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate, students must:
Final Examination Extension
Students who have completed all graduation requirements except the final examination may purchase a 6-month Final Examination Extension for $45.
If a student does not pass the final video examination, they are allowed one retake, for a maximum of two attempts in total.
If they do not pass the second attempt, they will be required to restart the course from the beginning and re-enroll by paying the full study group fee.
The 300-Hour Online Yoga Teacher Training follows a different learning structure and assessment process.
To successfully complete the course and receive a Yoga Alliance-accredited 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate, students must:
Specific assignments, assessments, and graduation activities are outlined throughout the course curriculum and must be completed before certification can be issued.
Upon successful completion of all graduation requirements, students will receive a Yoga Alliance-accredited certificate for their respective program.
House of Om offers a 7-day full money-back guarantee for online courses that have been paid in full.
